What Is This EA?

Universal Manual SL/TP Manager v3 is an MT5 Expert Advisor designed to simplify position protection. Its red and green chart lines control the Stop Loss and Take Profit levels of all managed positions on the current chart symbol.

For multiple entries with different lot sizes, the EA calculates a lot-weighted average entry price. This makes the automatic profit-lock level more representative of the entire basket.

Installation

1. Open MetaTrader 5 and select File → Open Data Folder.
2. Open the MQL5 → Experts folder.
3. Copy Universal_Manual_SLTP_Manager_v3.ex5 into the Experts folder.
4. Return to MT5, right-click Expert Advisors in Navigator, and select Refresh.
5. Open the symbol chart you want to manage and attach the EA.
6. Enable Allow Algo Trading and the main MT5 Algo Trading button.

Important: Attach one EA to each symbol chart you want to manage. Different symbols use different price scales, so an XAUUSD target cannot be shared with EURUSD.

Using the Draggable Lines

Red Line — Stop Loss

Click, hold, and drag the red line to the desired shared Stop Loss price.

Green Line — Take Profit

Click, hold, and drag the green line to the desired shared Take Profit price.

When a line is released, the EA immediately attempts to apply the selected level to every managed position on the chart symbol.

• APPLY NOW: reapplies the current line prices.
• AUTO ON/OFF: enables or pauses continuous synchronization.
• RESET LINES: restores the initial SL and TP distances.
• – button: hides the dashboard.
• SLTP button: restores the hidden dashboard.

Price-side rule: BUY positions require SL below the market and TP above it. SELL positions require SL above the market and TP below it. The broker can reject levels inside its minimum stop or freeze distance.

Automatic Basket Profit Lock

Profit locking is enabled by default. When the basket moves at least 400 points into profit, the EA protects at least 120 points from the basket's weighted average entry.

BUY BasketLock Price = Weighted Average + 120 points

SELL BasketLock Price = Weighted Average − 120 points

Once activated, the automatic lock remains active even if price retreats below the original +400-point trigger area. A stronger manual SL remains in control, so the automatic lock does not intentionally weaken better protection.

Manual Profit Lock

The red SL line can also be moved manually into profitable territory. If the line passes the basket's weighted average entry and remains valid for the trade direction, it acts as a manual profit lock.

Example:
Weighted BUY basket entry: 1.10000
Manual SL line: 1.10150
The EA attempts to assign 1.10150 to all managed BUY positions. If automatic lock protects +120 points but the manual line protects +200 points, the more protective level is used.

How Multi-Entry Baskets Are Calculated

Weighted Average = Σ(Open Price × Lot) ÷ Total Lot

Example basket:
BUY 0.10 lot at 1.10000
BUY 0.20 lot at 1.10300

[(1.10000 × 0.10) + (1.10300 × 0.20)] ÷ 0.30 = 1.10200

The larger position receives the correct weighting. BUY and SELL baskets are calculated separately.

Troubleshooting

The lines cannot be dragged

Confirm that v3 is installed, click directly on the red or green line, and reattach the EA if an older version was previously loaded.

SL or TP is not applied

Enable Algo Trading, check the Experts and Journal tabs, verify the correct side of the market, and allow enough distance for the broker's stop/freeze level.

BUY and SELL are open together

A single level valid for a BUY may be invalid for a SELL. The EA calculates basket locks separately, but shared manual lines must still satisfy each direction's MT5 price rules.

The USD floating value is slightly different

If the deposit currency is not USD, the EA searches for a broker conversion symbol. Bid/ask differences and conversion update timing may create small variations.

This EA is a position-management tool and does not guarantee profits. A price-based lock cannot guarantee that the final net result will always be positive. Commissions, swaps, spread expansion, gaps, slippage, requotes, connectivity, and broker execution rules may affect the actual result. Always test the EA on a demo account before live use.
